In this episode of the Blogging Diabetes Podcast I chat with Scott Benner about his experiences as a parent and having a child with diabetes. His daughter Arden was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2. Scott and I first met at the Lilly Diabetes event last May where he pitched me the idea for his book that was in the works. His experiences as a stay-at-home dad, dealing with diabetes and living life are pretty remarkable.

Scott also touches on his efforts to start a charity to help under privileged kids get access to pumps and CGMs. What I love about Scott and our talk is that it just felt like a natural discussion with a good friend.
I’m looking forward to reading Scott’s book that will be out in early 2013. If you haven’t read his blog, you are probably missing out. Check it out at www.ardensday.com.
