Hey Tony,
My trainer told me that the plastic disc is like a "shower cap" when U shower?!? That's all I was told about the pump!

I believe the sets seal themselves, so you don't need to "plug" it when taking a bath/shower/swim, etc.

I have used these at times. Sometimes for intimacy, depending on where my set is. The uncovered edges of the quick set seem kind of sharp, so I put the cap on.

I have never ever used mine either. I always figured the port had a seal of its own.

I used one this morning for my swim. Hot tubs and swimming pools. That's about it. I like to refer to them as "port covers".

Interesting! I've never used one either. Nor was I given any instruction. In fact, the first time I even noticed it in the packaging, I thought it was some kind of rogue piece thrown in there by mistake. Haha.

Well, now I'm going to be a little paranoid about water getting in next time I take a bath / swim / etc. >.<

I use mine when I shower & other times I have to take the pump off - but I use Sure-Ts and the edges are quite sharp when not covered with the cap.

LOL that's funny! I have no idea but we use it every single day! I know that our diabetes educator told us about it because I remember her telling us that she kept hers in a Dixie cup in the bathroom. We were told to use it when Tristan took a bath or went swimming.

I couldn't remember exactly why so I asked my husband... this is what he remembers...."to keep water out. there's an open tube there and while rain won't get in, sitting in the bath, water could fill the tube and canular".

But seeing has you have never used one..... wondering how accurate this information actually is. Have you even noticed more highs a few hours after being in the water? As for intimate moments..... no clue there! :)
