I think the window decal is a great idea. I think the issue is that the officers didn't know or recognize the symptoms of hypoglycemia. Their initial reaction was that this person must be drunk or just resisting arrest. At least the decal options would give them a warning and hopefully prevent a person with diabetes getting tasered from low blood sugar.

Another option would be to start tasering yourself every time you either are extremely high or low. This method would probably motivate people with diabetes to keep better control.

I think there should be a placard or window decal that diabetics can put in view of officers so that they are aware that you might not be resisting after all. I am all for officer safety but you hear of this happening more and more, this is one reason I usually let my wife do the driving. A low blood sugar can come on suddenly and without warning. If the police department can carry breathalyzers for testing for drunks how much more would it cost to equip them with a glucose meter?
